Valentine's Cards

I know it is early, but I like to do activities/projects in shifts with the kids. You know~in case of plague like sickness/injury/animal death/home repairs/fire (I caught the kitchen towels on fire last week) and any of the other disasters I have yet to experience. You know, in case of anything that can and does happen as a common occurrence around here. Living the life I lead, 6 weeks early seems very reasonable or at least extremely prudent.

Today I went to Ben Franklin when the kids were at school and picked up red construction paper, bingo markers, stickers, and sticky butterfly sheets to create homemade Valentine's cards.

After school, the older kids bingo dotted the butterfly's, I cut out the construction paper with pinking shears, and they helped stick them on. Step number two will be handwriting their names on the back and gluing a lollipop to each, making it look like the body of a butterfly. I am supposed to glue rolly eyes to each lollipop head but I am unsure if I will be cutting it too close to complete this. You know~six weeks and all!
